savannah i feel compelled
now that i have a real soapbox
to excoriate one of my nemeses
he thinks i m gone but we ll
show him am i right
there walks upon this earth
a most vile man who believes
himself to be some kind of
economic wizard
buzzard is more like it
really all he knows about is
insurance companies
he knows not one wit
about real economic theory
externalized costs question mark
what s that he blithely asks
furthermore he speaks with
great disdain of anything to do
with sustainable development
and the many various theories
surrounding it which theories
run the gamut from
economic theories to those
from the realms of physics and
philosophy from human ecology
to game theory areas this beast
simply cannot comprehend
and so pompously and ignorantly
dismisses moreover he proclaims
those with some amount of
privilege in their backgrounds
are the last people who should be
talking about sustainability
now maddy is merely a poet but
even she knows this ogre
is an ass just for thinking such
a thing who else is suited to do
about the good of the world
other than those educated to
see clearly the differences between
good and bad right and wrong
one thing queen maddy knows
for sure is that all the wall street
no minds are wrong just as
usury is still usury and
therefore still banned by
the great books every single one
and global warming is very real
and horrific and undeniable now
and every kind of cancer is
on the rise while factories pump
more and more carcinogens into
our air and water and most
investment bankers still don't
understand what an externalized cost
is or how discounting the future
does grave damage to us all
we all go to hell in a hand basket
and they all go to work by limo
godless self righteous ignoramuses
what s a right minded poet to do
