Long Live the Queen

What did you think, Maddy?
I thought Amazing Grace worked
pretty well for the melody. And
I thought your rhyming was
lovely. I've always been partial
to rhymes myself. Call me old
fashioned. I can tell it's
tougher to write rhymes. Like
a puzzle or a maze. I know I
couldn't do it. I'll leave it up to
the Queen. Free verse though
you may prefer, I think you've
got a future in rhymes. I'm sure
it's not what the public wants
but I never do like what
everyone else likes. I like that
I have a Queen poet roach friend.
I wish I had your strength. I
wish I had your way with words.
Some day soon you'll rise again
and I'll be standing with you
proudly when you take the throne
once more. Long live Queen Madeleine
we'll cry. And we will sing and dance
in your name. Long live the Queen.
